Maurice Cranston
Maurice Cranston (1920-1993) was for 26 years Professor of Political Science at the London School of Economics.In 1965, he was Visiting Professor of Government at Harvard, and he taught there again in the summer of 1969. He was well known to the broadcasting audience through the many talks he has contributed to the C.B.C. and B.B.C.
Professor Cranston is the author and editor of a dozen volumes, among which may be mentioned: John Locke, a biography, John Stuart Mill, What are Human Rights?, Western Political Philosophers, and The Social Contract of J.J. Rousseau (translation with an introduction).
